Working hard Playing

We've been busy just playing the summer away and loving it. I want to blog about all the fun we've been having but...I am lucky if I leave myself time to do laundry or make dinner. So far we have been to the Como zoo, Mall of America (post forth coming) many parks, lakes restaurants, swimming in the pool, got new books and movies at the library (got rear-ended on the way there...that was fun), and enjoy going on walks in all the beautiful greenery here. Here are random pictures of what's new:
When Avely wakes up and sees me in the morning she gives me the biggest smile. I love it! This isn't the best picture but it is the best I could get.
There are parks and/or lakes on every corner here...literally.

Kayla playing with Denise (another intern wife) and Mattues at the park. Kayla loves to play with her two "boy" friends Matteus and Jaxon (other intern children) that live by us. Denise is always so good to help (apprehensive) Kayla around the park while I watch Avely.

Watching a show with Jax.

Life as a second child...in the car seat. I need to get some toys but I want the ones that Velcro on not the ones with the rings...has anyone seen those anywhere?

Kayla likes to get toys for Avely to look at during tummy time. (I usually have to control the situation or they end up on top of Avely instead of in front).

Feeding her baby.

Don't forget to burp her!

Soo big...wasn't sure she is old enough for this but once in awhile I set her in it instead of tummy time so she isn't on her head all the time. She seems to do well and her little neck is getting stronger everyday.

Hangin with Dad...watching baseball I'm sure.

We went to the Como Zoo...a free zoo here that is the perfect size to hit up for a few hours. I'm sure there will be more trips to this zoo. We went with the other families that are interning in Minneapolis. (that we know)

The lions were pretty neat. This one was running around playing with this big ball hanging from a tree. I have never seen a big cat be so active.

Kayla and Dad by the seals

There is a park just a quick walk from our apartments and Kayla loves this big swing they have there. (Can you tell my friend took this picture with her nice camera) It just shows me how bad our old camera really is. :(

This picture is even worse...from Jer's phone. Jer went to a Twins game with his manager (right) and another intern. They had great seats of which I was jealous.

So, GMI put all the interns with families in the same apartments and the funny thing is all the interns that have families are LDS! The three families from BYU and one from Harvard (right). We have enjoyed doing things with the other interns here. The ward has also been so great. We enjoying going to play days every Wednesday. We also already have callings! Jer's in the Primary and I'm in YW. It is pretty exciting to just "dive in" in a new area and get involved. Scary, but exciting!
P.S. For those of you who were aware of our none techy, anti-text, don't text us cuz it costs us 20 cents ways, you will be pleased to hear the we are now connected with the texting world! I know we are like 10 years behind but (a) my husband is chea...I mean frugal and (b) better late then never, right?! Now I just need a phone that doesn't take 700 years to text on!

Minnesota looks sooo pretty and green... I haven't seen green in a long time! Glad you are having fun there, I can't believe how many friends you haver already met! I have lived in Arizona for about 3 years and I think I have half that many friends! When do you move back to Utah and are you planning on making any short trips back this summer at all?

Looks like you guys are having lots of fun! It looks so pretty and green. It reminds me a lot of cleveland...except it's not ghetto :) I'm so glad you like your ward. It makes living far from family a little easier. Well, I'm glad you guys finally entered the texting world! I was actually going to send you a text the other day, but I didn't want Jeremy mad at me...ha ha!! Well I'm so glad you guys are having fun. I really need to give you call so we can chat!

p.s. Avely is getting so big and cute!

I'm glad you are having a fun time out in Minnesota. You've only been gone a month and already your girls look so much older, especially Avely. Keep having fun and livin' up your summer.
