HAPPY EASTER 2008

(You'll have to pause the music at the bottom of the page to listen to this hilarious video!)

After this Easter Holiday I decided that having a baby makes holidays different then they use to be. I didn't buy Jeremy a little basket with fun stuff. I didn't buy an Easter outfit for myself. I didn't buy Jeremy an Easter tie like usual. I didn't plan a Easter FHE. Nope, nothing for me or Jer, it was all about Kayla. (I did manage to make some cute Easter sugar cookies for my YW and Jer's Family; and with the help of my mom, I planned a nice Easter lesson for church.)

On Saturday, we went to JCPenney's to have Kayla's one month picture taken in the Easter dress we got for her. She was wide awake when we left so I thought she would fall asleep on the car ride, but surprisingly she didn't close her eyes once! She really loves car rides! Kayla was very good for the photographer and we got some really cute pictures. As she gets older I know it is going to be much harder to get her to sit still and not cry so I am glad these ones worked out.

Then on Sunday, we headed off to Church for the first time as a family. Kayla made it until just after the sacrament and then started fussing (loudly) because she was tired. So I had to bale out. We had a very nice Easter program and Kayla really liked the music. She would settle down
when the choir sang and start fussing when they stopped.

Jeremy got Kayla all ready for church. Didn't he do a great job! (Well, all except for her hair; he couldn't get the hair bow in!) He is a fabulous dad!

Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Reese's house. Peggy made an excellent meal as always. It was really nice to visit with everyone and celebrate all the great blessings we have because of that first sacred Easter long ago.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Okay, so we are a little late with the St. Patrick's day blog but at least we got it up here. Kayla and I (Janessa) had a lot of fun taking pictures in her St. Patty's Day attire. Kayla was pretty good for the pictures except when the huge headband kept falling over her eyes; she didn' t like that very much! I am such a cruel mom! She is three weeks old now and I can't believe how big she is getting! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The many faces of Kayla Reese

Posted by PicasaOn Tuesday March 4th, Kayla was one week old! It really is flying by already! We celebrated by taking a bunch of photos. Kayla took this Kodak moment to show off all of the different faces she can make! Here are just a couple of them. She is one entertaining girl! (If you are thinking she looks like a chubby, bald, old man in these pictures....she does...but only in these pictures because of the angle and the way the light was shining on her head.) She wanted me to make that clear!
