Kayla's First Birthday

On Kayla's First Birthday she had an eventful day to celebrate. Grandma Peggy came down and we all went to lunch at Coyotes. Kayla loved the Mexican food! Then we went shopping at Target to pick out some new outfits/shoes for Kayla. She was tired form her long day on the town and took a long afternoon nap. Thanks for coming and spending the day with Kayla Grandma! She had a lot of fun. Then Jeremy and I made a spaghetti dinner for her and after, she had cake, of course.

She must have been embarrassed from all the hype Jer and I were making because she was hiding.

She came out of hiding when we started to sing and she could smell the cake!

Her little hands were packed with cake! Until she could unload them into her mouth. She loved the cake!

What an adorable mess.

She was so proud of herself. We all had a fun day celebrating her first year.

THE PARTY

Then on Saturday, we had a little party with our family's.

I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the cupcakes! So, here is a picture of the table decor, etc.

We went to a park and ate lunch, played games (guess Kayla's weight and height, how many cheerios, how far can she go, who does she love) and opened presents. It was such a beautiful day!

She opened some clothes and knew right were to put them.

Thanks to our family's who came out and made Kayla's first birthday truly special! We appreciate all the love and support you have shown her. We know this will continue to make a difference in her life as she grows up surrounded by people that love her. Thanks again for coming to the party and for your thoughtful gifts, even though they were not needed!

Kayla's First Year

Kayla is a one year old! It has been a wonderful year for all of us. We have loved watching her grow and develop. There are so many little memories of this year that I hope we remember forever. She is definitly a little toddler now. She can walk but doesn't walk all the time. She just takes steps here and there....from one thing to another....or carries a book to me, etc. She is starting to drink from her sippy cup, she didn't like it for the longest time so it is good that she is finally warming up to it. She babbles all the time and says Baba alot better now...it use to come out dada. She knows were her mouth nose and hair are. Her favorite food is anything we are eating. She still loves to dance. She loves books and will bring them to me to read to her. She has 4 teeth; 2 on top and two on the bottom. Here are some pics of the last year. She still is a happy, smiley girl and loves people.

The first week being a one year old Kayla came down with a cold for the first time. She has had runny noses here and there but she never had a fever for the whole first year. So, we are glad she is such a heathly baby but it's hard to see her so sick now! She is just not herself. I've got to take her to the doctor now but I will try to post about her birthday/party soon.
