Pictures of Pictures

I hope this isn't illegal....eeek. I'm a little late at posting these....they are Kayla's one month/Easter pictures. She was a little tired so I'm glad they turned out okay. I'm sure they could have been worse! The picture of her toes and our rings is in the header so I didn't post it again but isn't that fun!?

Not our idea but not bad..a little cheesy, I know.

Look at that turnout on her feet! She was born to dance! They pulled the binky out then shot the picture...can you tell? he he

Fun Week with the Family

A couple weeks ago my family came down to Vegas for their spring break. Almost the whole family was there. We missed Rachel and Mason, Vance, Jeff, and Steve M. (he stopped by the weekend before when he was here with some friends).

My dad and Scott stayed at our house for one night, then headed further south to have a boys week in Arizona with Steven. They golfed til they dropped. My mom and the kids (Yes, all the kids!) stayed at Jennifer's house.

Becky flew in from Cali to help my mom. (sorry about the blur Jen)

She was able to stay at my house for a couple nights and play with Kayla. We had fun playing games, eating ice cream, and we went to church together. Becky helped me make bookmark handouts for my combined YW lesson. Thanks again Bec!
Kayla really likes Becky, and Jennifer, I wonder why? Yes, we kind of look alike but I assure you that she knows her Mama.

We went to the park for a stroll on Sunday night. Look at Kayla's big yawn :)!

Anyways, I took a few pictures but really didn't have much time because we were too busy stamping. My sisters, my mom and I all started doing the "Stampin' Up" stuff. (If you want any Stampin' Up products I'm your girl!) I held a workshop with my friends the Saturday that my family arrived. Becky and Jennifer were great helpers; I'm so glad they were there.

The notebook we made at my workshop.

The card we made at my workshop.

Both projects are simple but so am I. Jennifer held a workshop a couple days later. After the workshops, we decided to go to Jennifer's friend's house and borrow some stamp sets to play with. Let's just say we left with a suitcase. She has so much stuff! So, we started stamping and scraping and card making and punching out stuff, and we literally couldn't stop! For three days we did nothing else; except the occasional brownie break...Jennifer made them, the rest of us ate them, it's all in her plan to be the skinniest sister! We really had a fun mother/daughter retreat and are going to do it every year now. I wish I had pictures of the stampfest...for once I was doing something other then taking pictures! Here is the end product though.

This is just the stuff I did. Jennifer and Becky did twice as much stuff each!! Crazy I know.

...it's getting better

SO I fixed the header...it's better, not perfect, but better. I used my expertise knowledge of microsoft word and paint to create my header...OK Jeremy helped since he is a computer nut! It really wasn't that hard...just took some time. Now I just have to fix the background behind the words so they are readable....I'll get there...and then I'll want to change it! I really love writing these dotes.....inbetween thought....it is fun!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Sorry our blog is such a mess. I am trying to change some things but have no clue what I am doing! I have been playing with it all day and I am just going to have to leave it like this for a while until I get time to fix it. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET WORDS/PICTURES IN THOSE WINDOWS ON MY HEADER?? I have tried everything on photobucket and can't get it to work...? After I add a text box inside the image and write stuff and save it, photobucket some how shrinks my modified image so when I add it to my blog it is tiny. I am sure you all have no idea what I am talking about but if you do...PLEASE HELP!

Photo mania continued...

One of my favorite pictures! Jeremy and Kayla hanging out together.

Photo Mania!

Jeremy and I love to take pictures! I have always known that. I guess I have always had a little desire to be a photographer. I get that from my dad who really enjoys taking pictures too. But lately I have really noticed how photo crazed we really are. On our picasa (a program from google that is great for organizing your pictures) we have thousands of pictures and I don't mean A thousand I mean THOUSANDS. For example: Kayla is only 7 weeks old and we have almost 600 pictures of her! It all started when we got our digital camera as a wedding present from my boss at work. We started off slowly...our honeymoon we took 115 pictures...a weekend getaway to San Diego last year...189 pics...Murray Family Vacation...239 pics....Hawaii...306 pics...and know Kayla with 500+ and growing...not to mention 54 other folders of events in our life with anywhere from 3 pics to over 100 pictures in each. I think there should be a term for people addicted to taking pictures. Maybe it is some kind of syndrome. SO, I thought I would do a quick post of pictures every once in a while so these wonderful moments in our life can be shared with more than just our hard drive.

Here is sweet Kayla after a soothing bath! She loves her bathes! Something about the warm water just calms her little soul!

Here is Kayla and cousin Ethan.

We haven't been able to capture a great smiling picture of Kayla yet but this close.

Our Week Without Jeremy

Jeremy had to go to Guatemala for work this past week so Kayla and I have been on our own. I have to say we did just fine. We were busy doing all sorts of activities. We went to church, went to Jeremy's parents house, went to my sister Jennifer's house, went shopping, went to the Doctor's, went on walks, sent Jeremy lots of e-mails and did a lot of playing at home together. We also had a pet stay with us for the week. It was a very unwanted pet but I wasn't about to go near it so we let it stay. Yes, it was this creepy spider.

At first I was so afraid it was going to crawl around (it was on the dining room french doors so I couldn't put a cup over it like I usually do)and then I would have to walk around the house in fear not knowing were it was. But then I noticed it was making a little web so it would probably stay put. Everyday I check on it every few minutes to make sure it isn't like laying eggs or trying to escape or something. When Jeremy comes home we will have to say our goodbyes. :(

Kayla smiled at me a couple of times this week! She definitely recognized me and my voice and gave me a great big smile. It was really special! Don't tell Jeremy though because he will be so sad that he missed out. Hopefully we'll catch a smile on camera soon. Kayla is 5 1/2 weeks old now and I can already see her little personality coming out. Well, that was our exciting week!
