Lake Tahoe

For our anniversary we went to Lake Tahoe for 4 days. This blog will be a non-Kayla blog...amazing I know. Every blog has a picture of her in it but not this one! Grandma and Grandpa Reese were kind enough to take Kayla for the 4 days. We missed her (I think every time I saw a baby I said something to Jer) but we had a really good time! We took lots of pictures because it was SO beautiful. The lake is so clear and blue; not to mention huge! It is one of our new favorite places. I mean, mountains and beaches...can it get any better! I submit that it cannot!

Our first view of the lake. We drove from the airport in Reno so we came to the lake on the north side and drove around the lake to where we were staying on the south side. It was a beautiful drive.

A pretty sunset at Eldorado Beach in South Tahoe City on Saturday night.

We drove up to Emerald Bay on Sunday morning (after we went to church only to find that it was Stake Conf.....in Carson City. What are the odds!). So we went on a scenic drive.

Emerald Bay! So pretty. There were lots of boat there that day.

Me infront of Emerald Bay lookout.

Jeremy waiting impatiently for our food at BIG DADDY'S BURGERS. With a name like that we knew it would be scrumptious. It was!

After our scenic drive and burgers we went to Nevada Beach to watch the sunset and chill.

Me with my arm around Jeremy's shadow. I know, we're silly.

The radiant sunset.

Monday was our super duper hiker day. This is at the overlook just a little ways into one of our first hikes. It was a hike to Eagle Lake; which is on the mountain behind Emerald Bay (as seen in the distance).

Hiker #1

Hiker #2

.We made it to Eagle Lake

Then we hiked the other direction, down to Emerald Bay. You can only hike down to this beach. We had a picnic lunch here and took a nap on the beach. It was fabulous!

The Vikingholm Mansion that was built for this lady in the 1920's at Emerald Bay. I won't go into the whole story but it was pretty neat stuff.

Our third hike; to Eagle Falls.

Eagle Falls. A little disappointing on the whole "falls" part. Pretty rocks but it needs a little more WATER!

Hiking out of Emerald Bay was a good view of Fannette Island. If you look close on the very top you can see the little castle were the lady had tea every afternoon.

Don't let our smiles fool you, we were exhausted from our day of hiking.

Then Tuesday morning it was time for some fun on the lake. That is Jeremy tearing it up on the Sea-Doo. We both went out on it for awhile but I knew Jeremy wanted to go a little crazier then I wanted to, being on the back and all, so I let him go out and have some fun by himself.

Jeremy WAY out there. He is the tiny white speck. It looks like he is all the way to the other side but the lake is deceiving; it is 13 miles to the other side!

On our way out. We had a great get-a-way! Thanks for watching Kayla Jon and Peggy!! Goodbye Tahoe!

Joel and Sarah's Wedding

I'm a little behind on this one but Joel and Sarah got married in the Las Vegas Temple on August 16th. Peggy put together a wonderful luncheon after the sealing and there was a very busy, but beautiful, reception that evening. It was a wonderful day and we are very happy for them. We didn't take a ton of pictures because we were videotaping most of the time but here are some pictures of the eventful occasion:

This one turned out blurry but it is a cute picture.

I'm sure Sarah loves me for posting this one!

ahh, how sweet.

Four years down, Eternity to go!

We've made it another year! Today is our 4th wedding anniversary. (I don't get all serious very often so sorry ahead of time for the gushing!) Jeremy's little brother got married last weekend and it was hard to imagine that it was only four years earlier that we were in their shoes. It seems like we have always been together. So many wonderful things have happened in our lives because of our decision to get married (in the temple). We are so blessed and having our family grow this past year and seeing our "fruits" has been an overwhelmingly joyful thing to experience together. I love experiencing everything that life brings with someone else. We truly share one life. I can't wait to see what memories will be made and things will be shared in another year to come. I made a slideshow for Jeremy of random pictures from the past four years. I thought I would share it on the blog:

Our little mover

I'm sure you all remember my Easter video were I dressed Kayla up like a bunny and laughed so hard I cried. Jeremy said I permanently damaged our daughter by doing that but I knew she would be just fine...until now. Apparently Kayla really took the whole bunny thing literally and she now hops around the house. Here is a video of our little bunny. She started hopping about 3 weeks ago . She use to hop more and sit inbetween less but we took this video a couple days ago and it is the best we could get. Enjoy!

Kayla Laughing

This is just a random video of Kayla's cute laugh. She laughs more and more everyday. We have fun being silly together. Jeremy videotaped it sideways so sorry for the sore necks!
