Carnival

Jeremy is in the Meals Division at GMI and they had there year end in June. The had a year end family carnival for the employees. We weren't expecting much but found out that they really know how to throw a party. Kayla was in heaven and we had fun too. There were so many fun things to do.
Kayla "played" the carnival games and after she could pick a prize. The workers were great and would just let her throw a ball or pick a duck and then pick a prize and repeat.

Of course the first couple prizes she picked were a princess crown and a cheer leading pompom...can you say girlie girl.

They had fun crafts (they had some nice beads to make jewelry with but Kayla had other plans for me:) ) She decorated a flower pot...

and then planted a flower in it to take home.

There were plates of big sugar cookies everywhere and Kayla had to have some every time she saw some. (and guess who had to finish them...)

Kayla loved the pony rides, of course. It wasn't crowded and Kayla could take a couple of laps on the pony and then went back later to ride the other pony. (I told you she was in heaven)

Saying hello to the pony

Ye-Ha!! (Kayla kept saying He-Ha while she rode around)

Dancing in the bubbles.

We played some mini golf and although Kayla could hit the ball fairly well, she really liked to take the flag out of the hole for everybody.

She's a natural.

Another prize she still carries around today.

Stopping for a little carnival snack.

(We also had an awesome lunch and I think I gained 5 lbs in 3 hours!)

Kayla playing a board game with Daddy...the winner got to take the game home. Kayla won by a mile but I think she cheated. (I know, I know, Kayla is too young to understand checkers but they were out of everything else so she settled)

Kayla was apprehensive about having her picture taken with Sprout (you know, The Green Giants son) but finally let Daddy stand next to him. Her face still doesn't look convinced though.

We also had an artist draw a caricature of our family. It was fun to see our features exaggerated although Jer says there is no way his nose is as big as the artist drew it...hehehe.

It was fun to be a kid again with our kids. Thanks General Mills!
(And yes, I spilled that cherry snow cone all over my tan pants :)

Fun, fun, fun. I've never been to a carnival that gave out prizes like that. This year end carnival definitely belongs on the pros list when considering taking a job at GM :)

I want you to scan and post a picture of the caricature of the family. I will tell you if Jer's nose is as big as the artists rendition!

We miss you guys and thanks for keeping the blog!
