38 Weeks

I went in for my 38 week check up this morning (a couple days early because my Dr. is going out of town). I was excited to see how things are progressing and to finally get some idea of when our little baby is going to arrive. I didn't find out much, just that NOTHING is happening. At Kayla's 38 week check up I was dilated to a 3 and 80% efface so I was a little surprised but it is about 5 days earlier then Kayla's appt. so you never know. Surprised, but not disappointed. A week or two is not very long and I don't like to rush into "the next stage" in life. So although I am uncomfortable, I am trying to enjoy the time with Kayla since I know my priorities will be shifting soon.

(For my records): I haven't blogged or written in my journal very much about this pregnancy so I wanted to write a few things that I want to remember. I do and don't want to remember how sick I was for the first 3-4 months. I know that I will forget this and want to have another baby but when I go back and read this I will at least remember what I am getting myself into. Kayla and how sweet she pats my tummy and says "Baby A". When we got out the baby toys and she brought a toy to me and put it on my tummy and said "Baby's toy". Kayla giving her kisses and hugs. Kayla having no regard for my belly, at times, and jumping, climbing, and sitting on it. The times I shared with Jer feeling her move and listening to her heart beat. Well, that isn't a lot but a few things about this pregnancy.
