Christmas

Well, it is already the 9th of January but I would feel bad if I didn't post about our Christmas holiday. It was such a joy to have Kayla with us this Christmas! It was fun to start new traditions as our family grows. Here is a little run down of how our Christmas went.

This year we stayed home and had Christmas with Jeremy's family. On Christmas eve, we went to dinner with Jeremy's parents and visited with them. This was different from the usual candle light dinner or nativity scene theater in the past but we had an enjoyable time and we were glad Kayla could spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. We then returned home so Kayla could open her Christmas eve P.J.'s and Christmas book.

It was fun to watch her read her book. She really liked the flaps. We then put her to bed and got ready for Santa to come and assemble Kayla's toys.
In the morning when Kayla woke up around 7:30, we showed her her stocking. She really liked to pull everything out and play with her new toothbrush and hair bows. She then found that Santa had left her a banana in the kitchen. She tried to eat it with the peel on! Yuck! Then, we packed it up, and headed over to Jeremy's parents for a fun Christmas day to celebrate Jesus's birth with presents, food, family, and lots of great memories.
Kayla with her little piano that Santa brought her. She doesn't like to sit on the chair, she stands and dances to the music. It is great!

Kayla found the big bag of wrapping paper trash. We should have just given her that for Christmas and she would have been happy!
Does this go on my head?

Kayla and Daddy reading a book Kayla received. She really enjoys books!

I had to post this picture to show off the shirt that Kayla made for Grandma for her birthday. What a proud looking Grandma!! Grandpa is carving the Christmas turkey in the back. It was delicious! Thanks for the wonderful day Reese's!

The cousin mischeif makers....they are trying to look so innocent!

Your pictures turned out so much more clear than Mom and Dad's did. Send us some along if you could. Also, for your music player is it possible to upload the songs from the CD from Sarah and the "Wise"er sisters? That would be awesome!

Talk to you after Jan 15th and happy new year!
